Take the case of my favorite gift ever. It was a Mickey Mouse watch. My parents (who are my first God-given precious gifts) gave it to me as gift for my 7th birthday. I walked into my Grade 1 class on that fateful day and feeling that I was only wearing two things: my happy grin and my new and sparkling Mickey Mouse watch. LOL.

Several other gifts followed, each of which are meaningful. These include my engagement ring, which was given to me on my birthday, too. Then the gift of my husband, and then of my kids.

This modern all-day dining restaurant captivates food lovers with its engaging open-theatre kitchens. No Boundaries Sleeveless Shirts

I bought these No Boundaries shirts in the tiangge (flea market) near our church for two for Php180. I bought 2 pairs. Isn't it a real bargain? :D

They are made of soft cotton. Very comfy and perfect as house clothes. Actually, you can also use them as undershirt and wear it when you go malling or just running errands.

If they have other colors, I'd probably bought some more pieces. When I took this photo, I was wearing the pink one. ;)

The Good Ole Reliable SM Parisian Shoes

I have not shopped for shoes for quite a while now. And being a lover of shoes, I know my mom would be surprised about this. But I still have good serviceable shoes, though, so why buy some more? (Must be old age sinking in now. ~ lol~)

Anyway, I always wanted to have those ballet flat shoes that would look good on me, and are comfortable to wear. I always go for the comfortable shoes. Those that I see and like don't really look good on me.

Then one day, I decided to check out SM Makati for their shoes. I headed on to their Parisian brands and voila found these two here:


They are so comfy and very affordable! So I grabbed two pairs. I would have wanted a brown one, too, but the color didn't have my size. With these two colors, I'm happy happy!

SM Parisian brands are good, too. These are the kind of shoes that you can wear and change anytime. ;)

My Favorite Pastime

My favorite pastime is reading books!

That's why my favorite places in the malls are bookstores: National Bookstore, FullyBooked, Powerbooks, A Different Bookstore, and Bibliarch. Of course, I also check out Book Sale, Books for Less, and even that Diplomat stall in Farmer's Plaza before. LOL.

I check out books online too. I go to Amazon.com, too, for books, especially for biographies and memoirs.

And eBay.ph and Avalon.ph. ;) If you're fond of books like me, check out those sites.

Get Laud! Online

I somehow see, albeit unconsciously, the rise of the GetLaud! brand. I first came to know about the brand through the tiangges (flea markets). Then from the flea markets, it established small outlets in small malls and MRT stations. The next thing I know the brand has put up shops in big malls such as SM and Robinson's.

And the latest development I know about the brand is that it's now online!

It always makes me happy to see a small business thrive and grow. GetLaud! clothing is of good quality and affordable, too. If only I could fit in most of their dresses! You see, many of their dresses are free size, and I don't fit in free sizes. Unfortuately!

In any case, I wish Get Laud! more success. :)

Ruby Tuesday: Bench at Glorietta 5

When shops, like Bench at the photo above, go on sale, they always use a red banner. I like how the red stands out from the reflected trees of the glass windows. That's the thing about the color red - it stands out. :)

Bench shops can be found in ground floor of Glorietta 5, 2/L of Glorietta 3 for the Bench underwear fashion. Bench can also be found in SM Malls, Robinson Malls, and other Ayala Malls all over the country.

Philip Stein picks Kris Aquino to endorse their products. I heard Kris thanking Philip Stein before, but it is a big step in the right direction for the company and an honor to this country to have Corazon Aquino, the country's former president and Kris's mom, as the theme for its latest watches.

If I could afford a Philip Stein, I'd grab one. :)

That's the signage of Chili's Bar & Grill in Greenbelt 5, Makati City. One of my favorite restos because food is yummy, comes in big serving, and the place is cool and comfy. :)

Chili's Bar & Restuarant is at the 2nd level of Greenbelt 5. It's on the side of GB 5 that is nearer Greenbelt 1. It's right next to the elevators and escalators on that side. So you can't miss it! ;)

My Favorite Drinks

water - I think I drink more than 8 glasses a day. I have water on my work desk, small bottled water in my bag, and on our bedside table. :)

Del Monte pineapple juice - Whenever I want something to drink, I grab this. :) This is one of the mainstays in our refrigerator.

watermelon shake - this and

green mango shake - this are my drinks whenever I eat out. ;)

tea - I often end the day with a cup of hot tea. ;)
