When I saw the latest Creamsilkcommercial saying, "nine out of 10 women use Creamsilk," I thought to myself, "Now here's one TVC that is saying the truth."
Why? Because I use it, too. And not just one variant, but at least three. Creamsilk has a variant for different hair needs, and I can attest that each variant really addresses myhair needs.
These days, I have the three variants: the black for brilliant black hair; pink for a standout straight hair; and the green for strength boost.
It's not only me, but most of the people I know---from relatives to friends---are using Creamsilk too, and liking what the conditioner can do to their hair.
I'm sure you're using it, too. What variant(s) are you using?
Now that you're in your 40s, you're probably good about keeping up with some sort of skin care regimen. But, has it been the right one? Right now, your skin is showing signs of damage due to pollution, smoke, the sun and our absolute favorite -- gravity. Thankfully, with the right products you can combat damage, and more importantly, reverse some of the damage that was previously done. Simply follow these easy steps and product recommendations.
Morning routine: If you currently use a gel or foaming cleanser, swap it out for a gentle, creamy one -- it'll help keep your skin hydrated and supple. Use it first thing in the morning to wash away excess oil and follow it with a moisturizer that contains antioxidants to help fight skin-damaging free radicals. Then, apply a broad-spectrum sunblock to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Nighttime routine: Remove all makeup and debris from the day using the same gentle, creamy cleanser to help avoid clogged and enlarged pores. Then swap your daytime SPF moisturizer for a cream that contains antioxidants and proteins to stimulate skin cells and firm it.
Get the products you need in the Olay Total Effects Skin Care Starter Trio, $41. It contains a creamy cleanser, a wrinkle-fighting moisturizer that contains antioxidants and SPF for the morning, and a firming night cream to make skin look smoother and more youthful.
Last April 24, I got an invite from Ayala Land to attend the Design Filipino Fashion Show at Greenbelt 5 . Being a fashion enthusiast, I excitedly accepted the invitation.
For this series of events in connection with the theme, Greenbelt Style, the lengthy strip of space seemingly dividing Greenbelt 5 into two was transformed into a fashion walk. I sat there admiring a blast of colors and fabric ingeniously used by Filipino designers into clothes, bags, and accessories.
The Design Filipino Fashion Show showcased Philippine craftsmanship. It gave us a previews of the summer collection of world-class Filipino brands.
The show featured:
Bags, shoes and fine jewelry by Aranaz, Arnel Papa, Atelier Avatar, Bijou by Ana Rocha, Gaupo and Jewelmer
Ready-to-wear designer ensembles by Azucar (Patrice Ramos Diaz and Arlene Sipats), Barba, Bonne Bouche, Michi Calica, Emi Jorge, and Elena Bautista, Jun Escario, Kate Torralba, L Manila, Religioso and Myth featuring Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson, Joel Escober and Chris Diaz
Retail brands Bayo and Kashieca
After the show, we were treated to a cocktail and an exclusive sale of these designer fashion stuff.
Early in May, the whole family went on a one-week vacation to Siquijor Island. This photo, with my Wizheart, was taken inside an old church. One of the old churches in the island.
If I may talk further about Siquijor, the island is known here in the country for its witchcraft. But there are a lot more interesting things than that. The island for one is rich in history that is closely associated with Spanish history. Many of the influences of the islander's way of life come from the Spaniards.
For tourists who love adventure, watersports, and fine white sand beaches, then I suggest you visit Siquijor.
With El Nino, summer is made more humid, hotter, and warmer. I'm known not to perspire even after exercising or walking several miles. But this summer, I find myself all wet even after I shower or bathe. That is how terrible this summer is.
And mind you, I have not had a summer like this so far as I can remember.
So, when my family decided to go on summer vacation to an island that is known to be dry and hot, I thought of only one kind of clothing to bring that will go perfectly well with jeans, shorts, or short skirts: t-shirts!
What I especially like about t-shirts is that they can be worn casually or semi-formally, You just accessorize it a bit and voila! you'll have a cool getup for any occasion. I am also seeing customized t-shirts as the new trend in t-shirts design lately.
These customized tshirts are often themed such as following the latest sports trend or a hit movie. Sports or movies even go to such length as creating a set of apparel as part of their promotion.
Take for example these Eclipse t-shirts. We all know about the hit Stephanie Meyer has had with her Twilight series. And her Book 3, Eclipse is also made into a movie. Fans would just love to get a hold of those Eclipse apparel.
Now, don't underestimate the power of t-shirts. T-shirts can be sexy, too. I know of men who find women wearing oversized t-shirts as sexy. Men wearing t-shirts with or without jackets on are equally sexy, too. I enjoy looking at such men on GQ.
Many fundraising organizations sometimes run out of ideas for their activities. You've done everything from car washes and bake sales. Are you the kind of organization that needs help with their fundraising?
Fret no more. Fundraiser ideas are easy to come by these days. FastTrack, you can have a lot of magazine fundraisers. Savings are easy to realize with magazine fundraisers. What's interesting about this fundraising is that it is done online. No need to give out catalogs, collect money, or add up orders.
