My Favorite Accessories

Oh, I love accessories! And I think I have one for every occasion.

In fact, these are not the only ones that I have. It's just that I had to rush this morning for work and remembered that today's theme at Girls Talk! are My Favorite Accessories. I had to make a quick shot at the accessories that I can grab from the cabinets. =)

Take a look:

It is the same set of accessories, actually, just took three shots in different angles. If you're interested, I sell accessories, too. *wink*

And my most favorite accessories are my wedding band and engagement ring. After 10 years, they are still as bright and shiny!

Ruby Tuesday: Ruby Fashion

This Ruby Fashion was taken during my last successful fashion show. I wish! =)

My college buddies and I attended our University's Centennial Ball last June. There was a portion there with all these lights. We pretended to be in fashion show and took turns having our solo photos taken there.

Spotlights on me on this Ruby Tuesday! :)

My Favorite Dress

I missed yesterday's deadline for My Favorite Dress here in Girls Talk! Nevertheless, I want to post an entry here. Pardonne moi!

This cotton black-and-white dress from Bado is so comfy to wear! I usually wear it during weekend outings with family. I also wear it to casual parties with friends.

Because it's my favorite dress, I have a lot of photos of me wearing this dress to different occasions. ~lol~

I know Bado clothing can be found in The Landmark and Robinson's Department Stores.

Ruby Tuesday: My Red Bag

It's Ruby Tuesday once again. For this week, I'm showing you my shiny red bag. :D

Hobo-style, it's very soft and can carry all my stuff. It's not made of leather, rather it's made of soft fabric, almost like a cloth. I've had this for 6 months now, but it is not showing any sign of wear or tear. I thought the shiny covering would peel off after a month, but it didn't. So, I'm happy!

The bag is "brand-less," yet it's of good quality. I got it from a friend who sells stuff in flea markets.

P.S. Thanks Wizheart for taking the photos. Also, I edited the first photo to look like that. :)

Bayo's Green and White Striped Blouse

Once again, here's another Bayo blouse that I got. It's made of cotton, and the color is green and white stripes.

It's a long blouse, and is perfect with jeans and mini whites. I love it! ;)

Friday Shopping Reminders

Today is payday Friday for most. And being wise entrepreneurs, malls or department stores go on sale at this time.

So with cash in your hands and sale signs all over the place, it's so easy to give in to the temptation. But when the urge to shop till you drop hits you, think of these:
  • do you need a new pair of shoes?
  • do you need a new pair of slacks or jeans?
  • do you need a new bag? or a different color of bag?
  • do you need a new blouse, shirt, or dress?
  • do you need this and that?
Yes, the operating word is do you need...? If you really want it to sound stronger and more convincing, do you really, urgently need it?

If not, then you don't really need to grab those things just because they are on sale. And what's good about not giving in to your impulse is that you're a day richer.

Happy shopping! Oops, what I wanted to say is, happy saving! =)

My Favorite Shoes: Naturalizer

Welcome to this week's Girls Talk! The theme is "My Favorite Shoes." :) Well, you know us, girls, young and old, LOVE shoes! But like any other collection, we have our favorite.

My favorite pair of shoes for this year is my brown Naturalizer shoes.

It goes easy on my feet: soft leather, comfy, and I don't feel like walking on heels. It also makes my feet look slim and sexy. ;) I can wear it every day, and in any occasion. In other words, it's versatile.

Ruby Tuesday: Mooncake

Inside this box is a moon cake. Chinese celebrates Mooncake Festival and they give away moon cakes to friends. We're lucky to have been given this. Mooncake is yum!

Here's an article from Manila Bulletin about Mooncake Festival, celebrated last October 2, 2009.
Every year, on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, when the moon is at its brightest for the year, the Chinese celebrate zhong qiu jie – the Mooncake Festival.

A typical mooncake is round or rectangular and contains a thick pastry including the yolk of salted egg to symbolize the moon. It is coated with a relatively thin crust. Chinese families traditionally gather outside their homes to admire the moon while partaking of mooncakes. The Chinese delicacy is rich, heavy, and dense, compared to most Western cakes and pastries.

My Favorite Perfume: Issey Miyake

This is my first entry for Girls Talk! :) Today's theme is "favorite perfume." Good thing I got a photo of the Issey Miyake scent that I love wearing: L Eau D Issey Soothing Night Fragrance Spray.

My sister-in-law got me this first two years ago. I loved it! Ever since, I would request her to give me this same scent. ;)

It has a delicate, relaxing fragrance perfect for retiring for the night. But because of the relaxing and soothing scent, I wear it even during daytime. :D

Top notes: lotus, freesia, cyclamen & rose water | Middle notes: peonies, carnation, lilies | Base notes: osmanthus, tuberose & amber seed musk

Ruby Tuesday: Red Van

Rescue that red van! :D

This was taken during the first few hours of Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana). This was in my son's school premises.

We were having a family day inside when the program was interrupted by the family council president who told everyone to check their cars because of the rising waters outside. This parking area was full, but the other cars had already sought higher ground.

As you may all know, Typhoon Ondoy ravaged many parts of Metro Manila. Of which, Marikina, Cainta, Rizal, Laguna, and Cainta were among the worst hit areas.

Right now, PAGASA are watching two more typhoons heading the Philippine area of responsibility.

Pray that these won't be as severe as Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) and Typhoon Pepeng (Parma).

As I write, more donations are still needed for the typhoon victims. Click here and here.
