It was on a Thursday like today when Baliling had to stop from sweeping because her water broke. According to her, it was one hot, windy afternoon when I burst into this world, crying my lungs out and looking like a boy. LOL.
Who would have thought that I'd grow to be a girl and a fair-skinned girl at that?
I am not aware of a famous celebrity that shares birth date with me. But when I made a Google search, I found out that Gwen Stefani, Neve Campbell and I have the same birthday. Thus, I was not named after any celebrity. Instead, I was named Merdeka (with an "h" at the end to make my name Christian sounding), which means freedom in Malay. How I got that name?
